Quireio

A link blog for what you read and why it mattered

A link blog is a collection of links with a little context from the person who chose them. Save a good read, add what stood out, and give someone else a reason to open it.

Your reading, with your point of view

Quireio collects the links you save and the notes you write into weekly and monthly pages. You choose the reading. You write the thought. The page assembly happens for you.

It is a way to share your reading without writing a separate long post for every article. A sentence about why a link matters can be enough.

From a saved link to a public page

  1. Paste a link into your Quireio shelf and save it. The site fetches the title and icon.
  2. Add your own note: what you learned, disagreed with, or want to remember. Ratings and tags are optional.
  3. Share your weekly or monthly page. Readers can open the original articles and subscribe to an RSS feed.

See the difference a note makes

The Small Web example links to "Blogging is more vital than ever" by Nathan Snelgrove. Its note is: "why writing on your own site matters more now, not less". The note gives the link a reason to be there.

When Quireio fits

  • You keep finding links you want to share, but lose them in tabs or messages.
  • You want a weekly reading page with your own short notes.
  • You want readers to follow your collection through RSS.

When you need something else

For long essays, custom layouts or a full publishing site, a blogging CMS may fit better. For offline copies of full articles, choose a tool that explicitly supports that. Quireio focuses on saving links with notes and sharing reading pages.

Start small, keep your notes

Free includes five new links a week, one public list, weekly and monthly pages, and RSS. Older saved links remain on your pages and in your export; editing and searching the older archive are Paid features.

Paid is $12 a year for unlimited links and lists, archive editing and search, private and unlisted lists, and subscriber email. Public lists can be seen and indexed by anyone.
